Whilst planning your big day it is often understood that your venue is one of the most crucial elements. It sets the tone, wows your guest instantly on arrival, and is the host location of your gorgeous celebrations. It is our duty to find you the best venue suited to your wedding theme, feel and budget.
Want a venue your guests will never forget? The UK boasts a mouth-watering collection of beautiful palaces and historic venues in which you can get married. A venue fit for a king and queen.
Hampton Court Palace | The Great Hall
Hampton Court Palace is one of the most exquisite wedding venues in the country, steeped with English history and set amongst picturesque acres, the versatility and wow factor of the venue’s spaces is endless.
For those larger celebrations the Great Hall can host up to 220 guests. Dine under the magnificent ceilings amongst historic tapestries, second to value of the Crown Jewels themselves. Not only is the Great Hall breathtaking, throughout the venue there are golden moments for a photographer to capture, including the King’s Stair underneath William Kent’s masterpiece, or the fountain in the cobbled courtyard – a wedding album you would most certainly keep on the coffee table.
Have you always dreamt of getting married by the sea? Polhawn Fort is a unique setting offering killer costal views and the chance to get married on a cliff-edge in Cornwall. With the choice of Grand Hall ceremonies inside the Fort itself, and Garden Ceremonies by the sea, we are spoilt with the design possibilities.
Hosting your guests outside for a summer drinks reception and then welcome them inside for your ceremony; likewise you could swap them around and walk down the aisle with the English seas ahead. Our team can help create that luxury wedding you have always dreamed of.
Adlington Hall and Gardens
Adlington Hall is an absolutely beautiful country home in Chesire, England which reflects both historic architecture as well as the 700-year old story of a single family, the Leghs. Voted as one of the best wedding venues with Harper’s Bazaar it is known for its “picturesque country manor house on a 200-acre estate” alongside a host of ceremony spaces fit for elegant weddings.
The Great Hall, steeped in grandeur, welcomes 100 guests. Follow the footsteps of history as you walk upon the medieval flooring, take your vows under the six carved angels whilst, on a summer’s day, you can wonder the Rose Garden or enjoy a drinks reception by the Hunting Lodge. The opportunities are endless!
A venue fit for a fairytale, Achnagairn Castle is located on the stunning Achnagairn Estate in Scotland, you can get married in the vaulted ballroom or hire the entire castle for complete exclusivity and freedom to explore.
The Vaulted Ballroom has been named the ‘piece de résistance’ by many Wedding Planners across the UK as it offers a stunning setting for your ceremony. With its Minstrels gallery and stone carved fireplace it mirrors the set-up of a traditional church, with a huge dose of 5 star luxury. Alternatively, some couples choose to position their ceremony underneath the Victorian stone arch at the bottom of the gardens. With the Loch Ness nearby, this venue welcomes outdoor celebrations and is perfect for those who seek adventure.
The Old Lighthouse
One that we think tops the unique list is one of our favourite venues in Kent, The Old Lighthouse. Opened in 1904, this lighthouse has survived two world wars before it was recommissioned in 1960. Now it hosts several spaces for weddings and parties looking for something a little (or a lot different).
Internally there are a series of mezzanine floors adjoined by circular staircases perfect for photographic opportunities with viewing windows on every level.
