Philanthropy

Because Helping Others Really Is Magical

Philanthropy plays a vital role here at The Events Mill and is something close to my heart. We love to support organisations and a diverse range of charitable causes which really make a difference in society. By using our skills are designers we love to create unique event experiences to attract support and to build awareness through storytelling and staging unique, highly creative campaigns throughout the world.

Christopher “I have had the pleasure of working with a range of charities including Battersea Cats & Dogs Home, Historic Royal Palaces, Barbican, 1418 Now, Oxfam, The Courtauld Gallery, Somerset House, Plan International, Crisis Commission, WWF, Maggie’s Cancer Care, Mind and War Child. Each has been a rewarding experience where I’ve used my creative skills to form new ideas, to dress venues and to add layers of prestige to the event. I love working with charitable organisations and really making a difference, collectively, and learning about initiatives that genuinely make change.”

War Child are a specialist child protection organisation – with the mission to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children caught up in war. War Child has over 25 years’ experience working in the most fragile of contexts, working across; The Democratic Republic of Congo, The Central African Republic, Yemen, Iraq and Afghanistan. War Child aim to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out, and be there to support them – long after the TV cameras have gone home.

Painting is a huge part of my life and I enjoy painting abstract expressionist pieces full of colour. I first picked up a paintbrush in 2015 as a hobby to support my mental health and made the decision to sell my artwork to give a portion of the sales to charities which support those living with mental health illness. Here is a selection of my paintings, linked to my Etsy shop, where pieces can be bought – for each piece bought I will donate 10% to a mental health charity.
