Fantastical Food Fiction
Mysteries, Fantasies, Epics and Classic Fiction Brought to Life in Food. Enter a world where food and fantasy collide. Inspired by Pan’s Labyrinth, this is more than a meal - it’s a journey through story, myth, and imagination.
Your journey begins in a shadowed forest. A lantern-lit path winds through towering trees, the air thick with moss and mystery. Whispers drift on the breeze, an invitation into the labyrinth.
The first course arrives: ‘The Pale Man’s Feast’ Bone marrow on stone, rich with black truffle butter and sea salt. Decadent, earthy, and haunting, like dining at the eerie banquet of legend, accompanied by faint melodies and the clink of porcelain.
The next course: The Faun’s Garden. A woodland on a plate - edible moss, foraged mushrooms, and vibrant greens. Hidden within are bursts of flavour: wild herbs, truffle oil, saffron honey. Elderflower, citrus, and pickled pine surprise with every bite. Mysterious and layered, it’s as enigmatic as the Faun himself.
A green glow fills the room as the main course arrives: ‘The Captain’s Sacrifice.’ Slow-roasted lamb with blood orange reduction and charred rosemary. Tender, smoky, and rich - its flavours echo the Captain’s world of power and shadow.
Between courses, the labyrinth itself comes alive. Hidden doors invite you to explore, each releasing a scent: citrus groves, fresh rain, smouldering wood. But beware! Opening the Giant Toad’s door is not for the faint of heart.
Dessert is the finale: ‘Ofelia’s Dream.’ A lavender-honey panna cotta crowned with spun sugar and gold-tipped flowers, delicate as a fairy’s garden. Break through the sugar shell to find berries and edible pearls, bursts of sweetness like hidden treasure.
This feast is more than food. It’s a passage into Pan’s Labyrinth, where every taste, scent, and sound blur the line between dream and reality, indulgence and discovery.
