Luxury experiences fused with highly theatrical, immersive designAnd built, every last piece of it, by the talented cast below.

And this is what it takes.

Wardrobe, props, floristry, lighting, stage management, hair and make-up, audio and video — ten departments in one building. Most agencies book a dozen suppliers and hope they agree. We draw it once and build it ourselves.

Who We Are

Most event companies design one thing and source the rest.

We do not. The set is drawn upstairs and built in our own workshop. The costumes are cut and fitted on the floor above. The flowers are conditioned overnight and dressed at dawn. We have ten departments, one team working together at the event.

It means nothing is lost in translation between the concept drawing and the room. It also means that if something has to change at four in the afternoon, the people who can change it are already in the building.

Who We Work With

Who we usually work with.

Most of what we do falls into three categories.

Private celebrations

Milestone birthdays, life occasions, anniversaries and weddings, usually 20 to 1,000 guests, at home or in a location we source for you.

Brand and corporate

Launches, dinners and immersive experiences for companies who need to be brilliant in front of their own customers. Rolls-Royce, The Savoy, Panerai and the Premier League among them.

Charity and fundraising

Campaigns built to raise money, not just to be admired. Our charity page shows the impact of our work and the numbers.

We take on around ten events a year, which is what allows the same team to be present at every occasion.

The Founder

The person you will be dealing with.

Christopher Mills, founder. My mission was always to produce the most beautiful, creatively inspiring and unique of experiences. I am proud to still have as much of a hands on role now as I did when I first started The Events Mill.

You will meet me at the first conversation and I will be there at the event. You will never be handed over to a salesperson.

Access

The rooms we are known at.

Twenty years of working in London’s best buildings means we are known at the door. These are houses we have dressed, lit and fed guests in.

What We Do

Nine things, and we do all of them ourselves.

A collage of hot air balloons and circus animals.

Destinations

Unforgettable experiences in pioneering destinations across the globe — hotels and yachts, palaces and museums, and the most remote places (un)imaginable.

Sketches of a chair, a lamp and hands pointing at a drawing.

Planning and Design

The guest list, the running order, the asks and the schedule, as well as all design services. The part nobody sees and then the emotions everybody feels.

Concierge

Escapism, experience and excellence in every journey — each one deeply personal, held to an unwavering standard.

Venue Sourcing and Access

Exclusive private residences, iconic landmarks, luxury hotels, and international destinations.

Catering

We work with chefs whose food can hold a room, and time each course to what is happening in it. Dinner is part of the show.

A brass bar with a fanned peacock-feather front, glassware racked along the top and a gold urn of foliage above.

Production

Staging, lighting, audio, video and the build. Ten departments means one drawing rather than ten quotes.

Entertainment

Access to the most exclusive legends, professional performers and hottest talent from across the globe. You bring the guests, we take care of the rest.

Guest Experience Management

Invitations, RSVPs, concierge coordination, and on-site guest handling.

Finishing

The last five per cent that separates a good experience from one people still talk about decades later.

When it comes to entertainment, we think about emotion before anything else. How you feel, react and respond means more to us than any high ticket performer. If the hairs on your arms aren’t up in the air, or your heart isn’t beating fast, then we haven’t succeeded.

Our Specialisms

Three things we are always asked for.

A destination scene — the world we plan events across.

Destination Experience Planners

The Events Mill offers unforgettable experiences in pioneering destinations across the globe. We partner with the world’s most remarkable properties, locations and exclusive journeys, from hotels and yachts, to palaces and museums, to the most remote places (un)imaginable.

Concierge and Travel Planning

Escapism, experience, and excellence define every journey we craft — each one deeply personal, yet held to an unwavering standard of perfection. From reconnecting with friends in the Okavango Delta to celebrating love aboard The Oriental Express as we whisk you to Italy before you start your honeymoon beneath Juliet’s Balcony in Verona, we turn the extraordinary into something effortlessly yours.

The Food

Dinner is the longest hour of any event and the one people describe afterwards. We design it as an integral part of the show — the courses timed to what is happening in the room, the table dressed by our own props and floral teams, the service choreographed rather than merely scheduled.

Creativity Meets Conscience

Lasting impressions, not lasting impact.

We’re on a journey to Net Zero — measuring, understanding and reducing our carbon footprint. Sustainability guides our every move, as we craft experiences that leave lasting impressions, not lasting, wasteful impact.

The Process

What happens after you get in touch.

  1. One

    A conversation

An hour, no charge, no obligation. What your experience is for, who is coming, the location, the date, and your investment. We will be honest about whether we are the right people.

  2. Two

    A proposal

Concepts, not mood boards, so you can see what we are actually proposing.

  3. Three

    We build it

Depending on the complexity this can be a process taking weeks to many months, though our production plan will be very clear on the build schedule.

  4. Four

    The event

The people who designed it are the people running it, a commitment we guarantee.

Straight Answers

What people ask us before anything else.

We always start this conversation with the question: what wouldn’t you want to spend? There is always a budget and each person’s comfort level is different. We never dictate, but will openly say that greater levels of luxury and immersion command greater levels of investment. It is normal for a client looking for full immersion to invest upwards of £500,000 + VAT, but a scaled approach is considered for smaller numbers and for those looking for specific, heightened levels of specialism.

Most of our work is booked 6 to 24 months ahead, but we have built an event in 6 weeks when the date could not move. We tackle each brief with openness and honesty, and will guide you appropriately.

Yes. Twenty years in London’s best buildings is where we are known at the door, but we design and produce events around the world, and Mill and Fable is the best place to look for inspiration.

Yes, you can bring your own. We happily collaborate and will be guided by you. We are a full end-to-end agency designed so that nothing has to be compromised because a supplier said no.

We are there right by your side, your eyes and ears. You are in the best hands imaginable. The people who designed and built it are in the room. That is the biggest advantage of us producing the whole experience ourselves. Should transfers run late, we can find alternative options; if service is delayed, we react in real time; and if a headline entertainer suddenly cancels, our roster of talent is there ready and waiting.

Yes, and we love to do so — we know most of them and can partner with you as your chosen event management agency.
